ACS Sustainable Chem. Eng. Lectureship Award

The American Chemical Society (ACS) announces today that Prof. You is a winner of the prestigious 2018 ACS Sustainable Chemistry & Engineering Lectureship Award. The ACS has more than 158,000 members in all fields of chemistry, chemical engineering, and related fields, and it is the world’s largest scientific society by membership. The awards recognize and honor scientists, who are doing exceptional research that impacts sustainability, green chemistry, and green engineering. This award specifically honors Prof. You’s research contributions in process systems engineering, sustainability analytics, and life cycle optimization of supply chains. The award will be presented to Prof. You in a special award symposium at the 255th ACS National Meeting in New Orleans, LA (March 18-22, 2018) to honor his contributions.

This award is jointly sponsored by the ACS Sustainable Chemistry & Engineering, the ACS Industrial and Engineering Chemistry Division (I&EC), and the ACS Cellulose and Renewable Materials Division (CELL). The award winners are selected from exceptional candidates from the global scientific community. One recipient is chosen from each of the following three regions across the world: The Americas, Europe/Middle East/Africa, and Asia/Pacific. Prof. You was selected as the award winner from the Americas region.

This is the 3rd major international award that Prof. You receives recently, in addition to the 2017 AIChE Environmental Division Early Career Award and the 2017 AIChE Sustainable Engineering Research Excellence Award.
