Prof. You received the prestigious 2024 Lawrence K. Cecil Award in Environmental Chemical Engineering from the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE). AIChE, the world’s leading organization for chemical engineering professionals with over 60,000 members from more than 110 countries, bestows this most prestigious environmental award. Established in 1972, the award is given to at most one awardee per year, recognizing outstanding contributions and achievements in the preservation or improvement of the environment. Nominations are received globally, and recipients are selected by a panel of distinguished academic researchers and industrial practitioners. Prof. You was honored for his pioneering research in Multi-Scale Environmental Systems Engineering and Environmental Sustainability. This accolade will be officially presented at the 2024 AIChE Annual Meeting in San Diego, where Prof. You will also deliver a plenary lecture.
